Who doesn’t love summer food, live entertainment, and dazzling firework displays? We, sure do! If you’re looking for family-friendly fun that won’t break the bank, check out one of these patriotic celebrations in the local LA area.

4th of July Block Party at Grand Park

Gather the family and head on down to Grand Park in Downtown LA for a 4th of July block party. Snack on some delicious grub from a variety of LA’s finest food trucks, or pack a lunch and have a picnic. Enjoy live music and performances, and experience an awe-inspiring light and pyro show after dark. This event begins at 2pm, and is free to the public.

July 4th Carnival in Cerritos

The 45th Annual Let Freedom Ring Celebration includes rides and attractions, live entertainment, and a bell ringing ceremony. Enjoy game booths, food trucks, and, of course, a firework spectacular! This event will be held at the Cerritos Civic Center, from 4-9pm. Admission is free; tickets for rides and attractions vary.

4th of July Community Festival & Fireworks Show at Exposition Park

This picnic style event will be hosted by council member Curren Price, and will be held on the South Lawn at Exposition Park, from 11am-10pm. Enjoy live music, games and activities for the kids, delicious food, and an amazing firework show. Admission is free, parking on site is $12, cash only.

4th of July Fireworks Show at Barnes Park

Monterey Park is celebrating the 4th of July with live music, food, and fun for the entire family. The Barnes Park Pool will be open to the public at 2:30pm, and children’s activities start at 3:00pm. Special guests, including military families, will be recognized. The fun-filled day will conclude a spectacular firework display. This event is free to the public.
