Los Angeles is known for up and coming restaurants but there are some that satisfy our taste buds more than others. We love our community and we want you to discover the best spots around. For this reason, and to ease our stomach grumbles, we’ve listed our favorite Mexican restaurants in the area.

El Coyote

This incredible family-owned café has been running for 80 years! 80 years of warm ambience and amazing food. The history of the café includes patrons like John Wayne and Ricardo Matalban. If it’s good enough for them, it’s good enough for us. Check out this Hollywood landmark the next time your stomach grumbles for delicious Mexican food.

B.S Taqueria

This Taqueria is a self-proclaimed in-authentically authentic hot spot. Local Chef Ray Garcia gets inspiration from LA’s rich culture. He’s known for his commitment to responsible farming and food production, honored with StarChefs “Rising Star” Award for Sustainability in 2010.

Broken Spanish
Broken Spanish is traditional dishes with modern flare and presentation. Sharing a chef with B.S Taqueria – but as far away from a carbon copy as possible, Broken Spanish is its own unique Latin flavor.

Toca Madera

This west Hollywood gem offers an extensive menu both for food and drinks. A place that truly showcases what West Hollywood is about – Toca Madera doesn’t let its social status override the quality of its dishes. Come for the Enchiladas de Mole and stay for the open-air concept and bustling atmosphere.

Guelaguetza

Opening its doors in 1994 – Guelaguetza has stayed true to its Oaxacan roots for 23 years. The restaurant which is also a boutique, states that its mission is for all of its patrons to live and experience Oaxaca through all of its dishes. The family-owned restaurant is known for its mole and bottomless michelada brunches. Don’t take our word for it.
