Furniture
When buying furniture, there is often a possibility for a discount. If you are buying multiple pieces, you can ask for a discount. Additionally, if you see an item you like on the floor and it’s in good condition, ask if you can purchase that one at a discount. Lastly, ask them if they have any specials going on. There might be a deal you didn’t know about that could help you save money.
Clothing
With clothing, almost every store offers sales and discounts at some point. Look for coupons and plan to shop when they apply. Some of these sales can be up to 50%, depending on the store and the discount. Also, if you find an item you like, but it has a small blemish, ask them to give you a discount on it. Lastly, even if you don’t know of any advertised specials, ask one of the employees if there are any active discounts.
Cable Bill
Most cable companies offer an introductory price for your phone, internet and/or TV. However, when your price increases, give them a call and see if they have any other deals going on. Often times they will give you a bargain where you get a cheaper price, or at very minimum you get more service for the same price. If you have the time, consider finding a better deal from another company and telling them you are going to switch unless they match it. Chances are, they will work with you on your bill.
Food
Buying food at the grocery store can get expensive. The best way to do this as cheap as possible is to avoid specialty grocery stores and shop at more moderately priced supermarkets. Beyond that, consider purchasing the generic brand items instead of the name brand foods. Typically, the least expensive food is either on the bottom shelf or on the top shelf.
