So, how do you deposit your checks online?
Step One: Sign In
The first step to mobile depositing is to sign into your mobile banking account and click on the Mobile Deposit button. If you don’t see this button, there are conditions in place through Camino Federal Credit Union to be able to use mobile deposit. A member is required to be in good standing with the credit union, meaning no delinquencies, no charge offs or any other account restrictions.
Step Two: Endorse & Confirm
Now that you’re all signed in and ready to go, the next step is to endorse your check! Make sure the back of your check is signed by you; this ensures the safest and most secure deposit possible. Then, confirm that the amount on the check follows Camino’s guidelines of mobile depositing. You can submit as many deposits as you need to each day, up to $10,000 per account. Submit your deposits at any time and you may include one check in a single deposit.
Step Three: Take a Photo!
Once you’re signed in and ready to deposit, the next step is to upload a picture of your check through the app! Make sure your images are the best quality by flattening your check and placing it on a dark, non-reflective surface, making sure there is enough lighting to read the check! The app provides horizontal and vertical guides to make sure the check is lined up accordingly. Make sure to capture the front and back of the check.
In just those three steps, your check is deposited to the credit union and you’re good to go on with your day! You can deposit your checks 24/7 using this system and we will store the check images online for secure, accurate and efficient record keeping. This process is as secure as if depositing at a branch or Camino ATM!
