Serving School District Employees

We changed our name to Camino Federal Credit Union in 2005 to reflect our open membership to everyone in our community. But our roots in strengthening education opportunities—and those who provide them—remain as strong as ever. In 2009 we expanded our membership area, which now includes the ABC and Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School Districts along with  Cerritos College.

Because of our commitment to serving school district employees, we offer special services and products designed to help these members.  Here are some of the products and services we offer to school district employees.

Furlough Loans

If work (and pay) has been disrupted or reduced due to budgetary constraints in the district, employees can apply for a furlough loan.  This is a special loan and can help them bridge the gap until you are back to a normal working schedule.

Summer Salary Savings

As a school district employee, we understand that making it through the summer months without pay can be difficult.  That’s why we have a Summer Salary Savings program.  We help you put money away throughout the school year so when summer comes, you have money available for the things you need.

Summer Skip

Continuing with the summer theme, we also offer an option with some loans to defer a monthly payment during the summer.  This can help bridge the gap in pay during the summer, allowing you to enjoy your time off instead of stressing out about how to pay the bills.

Interest-Free School Supply Loans

Classroom supplies can be expensive and we don’t want to see our teachers paying any extra than they need to for the things needed to educate students.  Because of this, we offer interest-free loans for school supplies.

As you can tell, there are many ways we help school district employees with their specific, unique financial needs.  If you have any questions about these programs, or about other products and services we offer to school district employees, please stop by a branch or call us at 800-835-3400.  We are here to help you on your financial journey.
