The holiday season is about friends, family, and community. This is a magical time of year for our Camino Federal Credit Union team, giving back and helping Montebello enjoy a wonderful holiday season. The Montebello community has remained our top priority since 1941. As you likely have causes you cherish this time of year, we wanted to share two efforts of ours that we value so deeply.
Camino’s Holiday Food Drive
We were proud to come together to help our community for a great cause with our annual canned food drive in November. During this food drive, we collected 256 cans of food and other non-perishable grocery products.
We donated these contributions to Heart of Compassion Distribution, a non-profit food bank committed to helping families in need, seniors, veterans, and unhoused individuals in Montebello and surrounding cities.

Spark of Love Holiday Toy Drive
A program we have just wrapped up like a holiday gift is our annual Spark of Love Holiday Toy Drive. It is always a great experience to collaborate with our local community for a great cause. Having our community participate selflessly was a success in itself.
For the past couple of years, we have collected donations and given them to our local fire department station. We delivered donations to the fire department on December 21st. We were thrilled with the donations we received from staff and members.

Other ways we give back to our community throughout the year include holding a blood drive and financial workshops to help members gain a greater sense of financial knowledge.
